Sunday Chicken

Thawed out a frozen chicken and put it in a brine for a couple hours. Gave it a coating of a mix of flour, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and paprika.

Pretty sure my neighbors think I'm two fries short of a Happy Meal, when they see me heading out toward the garage with camera in hand.

In to the house and put it under the broiler for a short while to crisp up the skin.

Plated with some spanish rice and french cut green beans.

This was the best chicken I have ever cooked. My wife said the same. Tender and moist. Gonna be brining my chicken from now on.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah we've all got that problem here. :)
Great chicken sir!

Great looking chicken Ed! My neighbors are at the point that when they see me at the grill or smoker and I don't have my camera they ask where's the camera today! :D

Thank you all for the kind comments, much appreciated!

Do you think the flour had much effect on the skins taste/texture?

We think it made the skin very much like it is when we use Shake n Bake breading. We will definitely try it again.
