All the Newhart shows were a scream! One odd thing though, where are they in that shot? Can’t be at their apartment, Marina towers does not allow charcoal grills on balconies (I’m not sure they allow gassers either, really).

Yea it looks like a studio from the pic.
They did use the exterior of a building up north on Sheffield for some exterior shots according to the Wiki.

Nah, they were in Marina Towers, Wiki knows nothing.
I’m putting this to sleep in my book.
But, not a lot of “dead air“ from those apartments across Lake Shore Drive like that either.
