Smash Burger Utensil


 
I beleive you are supposed to smash and hold the burger down for 30 seconds or so before lifting the spatula

Hmmm; I was not aware of this. I drop and smash instantly. These suckers are ready to scrape off the grill in about a minute, so this would make it necessary for me to have a spatula in each hand. I am definitely not that well coordinated!

X2 on move it (wiggle or turn) before trying to lift. This is what I use. It weighs 2.5 pounds, is 3/16 thick stainless and is a commercial "steak weight" made by Volrath. Works great. I also hit it with a little Pam before starting a cooking session. Never had one stick yet.
