Skyline 520 assistance

Newbie here and to the fantastic world of Weber. I picked this up yesterday, and I'd like to do some rehab work on it. From what I've picked up briefly from some reading here is that this is a Skyline 520. Can someone guide me to previous threads for similar projects or let me know where to find some parts? I am not planning to spend a fortune on it, but I'd like something to replace my 'disposable' grill.
Items I need (for now..):
- Gas hose and regulator. (This one comes with the original quick-release option)
- Flavorizer bars. (I saw many options on the web. Not sure what's good)
- Best recommended cleaning/repair products to remove the fading on the outside surface.
- Best recommended cleaning/repair products to clean the inside? Any paint options?
Anything else?

This one if you have a 3/8" male flare connection on the manifold: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W2MPZD1/?tag=tvwb-20
or: https://www.homedepot.com/p/GASONE-3-ft-Gas-One-Propane-Regulator-and-Hose-2106/310727271

If you have a 1/8" NPT female connection on the manifold, you want one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HX7TA1C/?tag=tvwb-20

- Flavorizer bars. (I saw many options on the web. Not sure what's good)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G678CT6/?tag=tvwb-20
- Best recommended cleaning/repair products to remove the fading on the outside surface.
There is nothing you can do about it, except to call it "character". It is called the Weber Fade and affects about 80-90% of black lids on these older grills. No cleaner, polish or anything known will restore the shiny black.
- Best recommended cleaning/repair products to clean the inside? Any paint options?
Anything else?
Scrape it out with a 2" putty knife and use a good grill cleaner (Sams Club grill cleaner, Easy Off, Dawn Power Dissolver, etc...) and some house hold stainless steel. If you really want to clean it up down to bare aluminum, you can use an angle grinder and wire cup brush. Otherwise, just scrape it out inside and start grilling. It will only get gunked up in a month anyway.

I use Rustoleum High Heat flat black on the outside of the cook box and I use Rustoleum High Heat Ultra semi gloss on the end caps. I use Rustoleum 2x gloss black on the frame.

Thanks Bruce! I will keep you updated.

Yessir, all of what Bruce shared!
I’m forever indebted to him for all the guidance he has shared here. I would never have gotten my ‘97 genesis tuned up without help from this forum. And Larry, Jon, Rich et al. you folks have very much increased my appreciation of the caliber of the company’s gas fueled products. I’ve known about kettles for many many years.
Welcome aboard Moe,
Enjoy the ride!

I like those two burner Skylines :coolkettle: !

There are some very good deals out there on internal parts for this grill. If it fits a "Silver A" it will fit your grill:

For flavorizer bars, I can highly recommend these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DVGSHN6/?tag=tvwb-20

For burners, plenty of choices. This looks pretty good:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S177Q4M/?tag=tvwb-20

Another option for even less! It more closely resembles the OEM Weber ones, based on the holes:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X1UK2DG/?tag=tvwb-20

For grates, here is what looks to be a really nice set of cast iron:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079BVHX6K/?tag=tvwb-20

And another, cheaper cast iron grate option that looks very similar:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T623BFK/?tag=tvwb-20

Or, you can get these stainless rod grates. They also look very nice for the price. A lot less hassle to care for; they will probably last as long as the grill:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FRKYS6Z/?tag=tvwb-20

That's a great price if they really are 16 gauge and 304 stainless. The Qlimetal ones are both from my experience. Have you tried these yet?

Jon, I put them on a rehab last summer. I don't recall them a whole lot, but I don't remember being disappointed in them either. I think they cost me about $25 or $30 back then.

Virtually all my rehabs I have posted on here over the years. Here are a few from last year
