Skewed Skewers

I did this cook last weekend, but I'm just getting time to post it tonight...

Really simple, but quite good, will be making this again.

Started some shrimp off in sesame oil, Penzeys Mural of Flavor and a bit of the Salt Lick dry rub for kick.

I also got out some pork skewers we bought at Costco, greek flavored to be exact.

Got the pork on the Performer first, then added some garlic bread to bake when they were nearly done.

I used these Broil King double tined skewers somebody got me for my birthday, which I don't recommend for shrimp since they pinch in towards the end.

I moved the pork skewers over my modified fire brick hot coal box. It's modified because one of my firebricks broke after a few years and now I've got more room for indirect cooking :)

The shrimp cooked in about 30 seconds per side because this fire was hot!

I put the garlic bread over on the fire for 10 seconds and I burnt it, lesson learned.

Plated with some greek salad.

Excellent mid-week meal and I will be making it again!
