Silver C maroon

Hello from Germany,

after only reading the forum in 2019, i finished a new project.

I found this Silver C, which is an U.S.-model. This was the first time i tried sandblasting for the firebox and the side panels. A guy did that for €50.-, and i had no idea if it was a good price. But it came out very clean, the metal looks nearly white. The heat resistant color is a german brand which i used in grey on my Platinum (2018).
After celeaning and sanding the frame i paintet it two times with regular black, added new burners, ignitor and 1,5mm flav bars and a nearly new cast iron grate.
Finally there is a 30mbar valve, which is different to the normal german models, they work with 50mbar.
Enjoy the pictures.

Bernd,

Very nice. It's hard to beat the older Webers and you will get many years of great grilling from that one. Really like the maroon lid. I have green, red, black and blue lids but have yet to see a maroon one for sale around me. Thanks for the great pictures.

Great transformation. Very good work. Now we need some pictures of meat cooking on it.

Wow, there's passion in that total rebuild, wonderful Bernd. Mine is over 20 years old(with plenty of new parts) and still delivering. Great piece of equipment!

That's a beauty with excellent craftsmanship on your part! The maroon hood is especially sharp, and it all came together really well. (y)
