I was wondering how others set up to cook, as I was moving things around to hang my maverick and set up area to foil and where did I put my tongs, what happened to my bottle opener, honey have you seen my lighter......Well you get the idea. Would love to see how others cope with the cook.

In the laundry room, I have a shelf where thermometers, stalk light, and clean tools go.

On the deck, I have a storage container where the charcoal, wood chunks, disposable alum pans, lighters, starter cubes, alum foil, shop towels, radio, gloves, rib racks, grills, pie irons, etc live. ...but MOST importantly, it's where the beer fridge is.

On the opposite side of the deck from the storage container is the nerve center of the operation. The chimney starter, coffee can with both ends cut out, grill brush, cast iron lid lifter (aka charcoal bag opener), cast iron lid trivet, charcoal tongs, ash can, thermometer post, etc.

I have to admit , I tend to be a little bit scattered in my approach to outdoor cooking because I'm making a slow transition from being a gas grill guy to a charcoal guy ....and I've only had my WSM for just a bit over a year. That being said , this is how I roll lately.......

Get it? How I roll? It's on wheels!......**crickets**.....never mind .
so anyway , now that my smoker cart is finished I usually wheel my smoker out onto the patio to cook and this helps me keep all my grilling tools together. (Well , between here and the gasser which I still use for steak or if I'm in a hurry.but if its bad out , I can cook right in the garage , which makes it smell nice and keeps me dry and warm-ish.

Thanks guys , nice set ups.

Dwain, beer fridge is way cool (no pun intended) love the table. set up between cookers .

Frank, did you make the the cart or repurpose one? Great idea none the less.

Thanks again I think I'll be making a table like Dwains with Frank's rolling cart flavor.

I am totally unorganized. You know that junk drawer you are gonna organize and just never get too? Thats my stuff only worse!!!

I keep my charcoal in the garage, the chunks and chips in a metal bin at the end of the grill surround and all the grill tools in a tool box under the side of my gasser.

Thanks Phil, John

appreciate your time posting, I am sure with your standing in the community your set up tight in your own way, John, yes I know that junk drawer its my front door!

Lots of it stored in the cabinet for the gas grill, the long handled things like tongs are all sitting on the table attached to the WSM, Chimney is on my wifes stand for herbs, wood and charcoal in a cabinet with the pool supplies, extra charcoal in garage..............soooo, not too organized in any one locale, but all fairly close.........................d

I have a little cabinet outside on the patio and its a mess..it has done of my bbq accessories.

Tony I think you got some issues dude..turtle wax, wd40 and a buffer? Clean webers is one thing but dude...wow!

I can't recall why I needed the wd40, it had no tip anyways..lol
I did wax my webers because I was showing them off to some friends..:)

Tony, like others I expected a primo area for grilling after seeing you excellent food photos. These pics show there is hope for the rest of us. Lol

Here is my new panel wagon from Harbor Freight Tools. I built a side storage compartment, fantastic for all my Q stuff!
