Thank you.Cleaning Porcelain Enamel With Steel Wool - The Virtual Weber Gas Grill
A popular technique for cleaning exterior porcelain enamel on Weber grills, both gas and charcoal, is to use super-fine 0000 steel wool and a degreasing spray like Simple Green or Formula 409. You can use this technique to occasionally deep-clean your grill or to restore an old grill to like-new...virtualwebergasgrill.com
I’m not sure it feels like someone sprayed spray paint on it. The front is good shape just the top is Terrible. Is it dull or faded? These black lids like to fade and that cannot be restored.
That’s looks nice. I’ll have to try it.Meguiars ultimate compound THEN polish.. apply both and buff after each application. ORBITAL polisher always. https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/meguiars/ultimate-polishing-kit.aspx
I’ve tried the steel wool on it. Still had some fade to it I believe.Mark, are you saying that will get rid of the fade? If so, can it be done by hand or do you have to use a power polisher?
I would like to see a "before and after".

Richard: That is the type I had, but $53 is a bit steep IMO. Especially when the darn thing doesn't even come with a motor.Bruce, If you want they sell a drill attachment that works well from the reviews I read. Meguiar’s sells it.
Larry, are you saying it comes from the factory that way? Those before photos don't look like fade but filth more than anything. I would like to see something with actual fading/clouding done like that as I don't think they can really be brought back since the fade is in the actual color dye of the porcelain
