First off, sorry for the mess up with the first attempt to post this cook.
Anyways...
After seeing a bunch of great Rib cooks the last few weeks especially these ones from Rich I picked myself up two nice racks this week. Did the 3-2-1 style to a tee as the WSM ran between 235 and 255 without me touching it all day.
Here they are waiting to go on. IMG_20201010_200811.jpg
Here is at the three hour mark taking them off tho wrap. IMG_20201010_185227.jpg
Here they are after unwrapped waiting to be sauced. IMG_20201010_185210.jpg
Here is my youngest daughter waiting to sauce them up. She is aways by my side during the cooks. IMG_20201010_185152.jpg
While the ribs were cooking I worked on makes these potatoes from a recipe Cliff gave me that he made as part of this amazing cook a little while back.
Here is my attempt waiting to go on the kettle.

That was one of my best cooks ever. The ribs were perfect, they were tender with a great bit. I did half a rack in my favorite Zesty Peach BBQ Sauces that I picked up today at the orchard while the ribs were in there first stage of the cook. That potato recipe is legit!!! It will be made again. The kids have requested to add some bacon to the next batch, I may have to give into the request.

Great cook Michael, ribs look perfect. Really like the looks of the taters too. I have 15 of the later Weber books but not the on that has that recipe. I'm assuming it's and earlier one.
Your daughter did a nice job on the saucing, it's great to have your kids participate.

Yeah having my daughter by my side is one of the best parts of cooking! We just got done dinner tonight. It was a good one, twice backed cheddar potatoes all on the kettle, Malcom Reed's Monterey Chicken, and local green beans in the grill basket. My plan was to take pictures, but my daughter was by my side the WHOLE cook and ended up doing more cooking then me. I didn't want to even pull the phone out, just wanted to be in the moment with her. Food was great, company was ever better!

Truly a cook to be proud of! I need to get my kids more involved in the cooking. I only have a little more time with them and I'm pretty sure neither one knows how to cook anything from scratch. My 16 year old MIGHT be able to cook a pre-formed burger patty but I'm not too sure ;)

My 14 year old daughter has no desire to help cook, my 12 year old son, had an interest in the fire, the pit, and keeping the temps right, but not so much on the food (except when it is pork shoulder), but my 11 year old has been my cooking buddy since she was three years old. Since 3 she could make pancakes by herself. She wants to take the lead on the next rib cook and see how much she can do without asking for instruction and only using me as an assistant. I told her name the day, I hope she does follow through with this desire.
