Saturday night dinner

One of our favorite little restaurants closed recently, and I've been craving one of their Maxwell Street Polish's, so here's my rendition. Along with a brat patty from a new meat market in town. Bacon cheese burger brat patties, they were giving out samples at the grocery store - couldn't resist.

Onions rolling in the CI pan.

Paper plated with Lakeside's mustards, and homemade hot dill pickles.

Oh man, does that look good. I'll confess my ignorance, I've never even heard of a brat pattie. Against that snowy backdrop, that looks like the perfect meal

Great cook TM! Living in CA (and from the midwest) I miss those brat patties and sport peppers! We do get Johnsonville, but there's nothing like the fresh brats you guys get in Wisconsin. Those pickles look great too!

Looks GREAT Mueller!
Ever been to Maplewood Meats or Blazing Sands?

We buy most of our meat from Maplewood. It's about 5 mins away. Never gotten anything from blazing sands.

Maplewood has the best Brats and hotdogs around. Very good quality meats. They'll custom cut anything you want. Awesome hot sticks. They usually have fresh rolls from Smurawas bakery and fresh curds from Renards in door county. Each trip is minimum 40 bucks for us. One stop shopping on Saturday mornings (when you can find a parking spot).

Maplewood is Fantastic!
Try Jacobs Meat Market in Appleton for their pork brats, I think they're the BEST in Wisconsin.
I'll be making a trek up there in a week or two. Always come away from there dropping at least 100 clams. They carry tri tips year-round.
