Afternoon folks...had a lazy day of watching football and snacking..I picked up some stuff to make some sandwich meat for lunches and a boat trip next weekend!

Started with a 3 lb sirloin roast rubbed with mccormicks mesquite seasoning and a 7 lb bone in turkey breast with EVOO and some poultry rub!

Turkey and roast on with some cherry smoke!WSM cooking about 240 with no water and about 1/2 the kingsford I normally use!

Sliced a few for testers then went in the fridge to firm up for slicing!
Roast was 150 ish and turkey was 160!

And that was it... Sorry no plated pics...just fun to do! I do this a few times a year cause I like this much better than store bought sandwich meat!

Happy Sunday evening!

Geez, Morgan. It's just one great cook after another with you!!! :D I agree with you that sandwich meat done at home is way better than anything you can buy at the store.

Love this cook. Keep it up!!

I think, that this perfection can not be bought anywhere
Morgan's products can not be bought anywhere;).
You cook original perfect for you and your family as we all here. And this is the greatest asset for you and your family (and for us).

I was smoking my own turkey breast for awhile for sammies as well. Maybe its time I got back to that. btw, this is quite the view to smoke by...

Nicely done Morgan. Other than salami and tuna, I've been making our lunchmeats for a while. Can't beat it, and its a fraction of the price for inferior stuff in a store.

I put a meat slicer (and a potato ricer, not related to sandwich meat) on my upcoming birthday list for this exact reason!

Great cook Morgan.

I'm not sure why I'm not doing that. Great looking sandwich meat! Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow Morgan awesome job, looks like I am smoking sandwich meat this weekend, unless of course we get this crazy storm they are talking about. Great looking cook and the view in pretty good too.
