Yesterday we did some beef ribs & chicken in the pit barrel. Sure do like that thing. Set it up, get the food in and can go watch football.
For seasoning we used Tatonka Dust & Cabella's Open season Roasted Beer & Garlic on the ribs. One chicken was Montreal Chicken seasoning and the other was Tatonka w/ salt.
Cooked the ribs for about 3 hrs. Took them off and slathered with some of the wife's BBQ sauce and then back into the barrel. Here is a plate of ribs
Took the chicken off after the ribs, notice the missing legs, snacks. Then shredded it up & mixed in the last of the BBq sauce. Froze some and lunch stuff for the week.
Thanks for looking.

You Guy's are sure eating good this week, love those ribs Russ. That's the second time today I have seen that dark blackish rub look. I'm liking it. Well done my Friend.

You've had some good things come out of that barrel, Russ!! Ribs look great and the chicken just delicious!! Great job!!!

Russ your starting to make me want one of those barrel smokers now. You know I bet you could rig the wsm to cook like that. Anyways GREAT lookin cook!

Yea S.Six, if I would have saw this smoker on here I would have taken my 18.5 WMS drill a hole straight across the top, get a rebar & make me some hangers, take out the water pan, close the top vents and run it just like the PBC. Then you could take out the rebar & plug the holes with bolts & washers, put the water pan back in open the top vents and you are back in business. So if you aren't scared to drill a couple of holes in the WMS you could do the same thing with one smoker. I would do this if I didn't have the PBC. Drilling a couple of holes in the WMS does not bother me. It is just metal.
