Real Men! (and Real Women)

I table-captained at a KCBS backyard event to day in Ashland, VA. Tropical Storm Ophelia was raging overhead. Wind, rain, everything but Toto and a witch swirling in the sky. These teams showed more dedication and determination than most masters series teams! From the scores and what I tasted on the leftover table, they should all be very proud of their efforts and their results.

My team weathered a big thunderstorm yesterday at a BBQ Competition in Shawnee, KS. We got about 3” of rain late morning and throughout turn ins. We took 35th out of 71 very talented teams.
