I was actually doing 83 in the 70 zone!
I was using the cruise control and set it too high
I was honest with the officer and told him that I knew the speed limit was 70 and that I thought that the cruise control was set at 80
Luckily, we driving record was very clean and he only wrote me up for that
I’m also glad that I was in SC and not NC. In NC, any driving over 80 MPH is considered reckless driving!
Geez, I've blown past cops on 90 well in excess of 80-even a couple times 90+ They don't even give me a second glance. Actually a bit scary. Because you have to be running at insane speeds just to not get run down

We haven't put a tree up this time of year for several years for a couple reasons
A couple weeks ago, our 2 grandsons talked us into getting a small one that will go in the camper after the house sells and we become vagabonds
Our realtor asked us to NOT put it up until after pics were taken of the house, which was yesterday
I had to go to the dollar store to get a small enough string of lights for it, but it's up!
Happy whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year!

And, we've done it again!
In October, we fired our realtor, because she priced our house too high and we weren't getting ANY foot traffic in. We had to pitch a fit to get her to have an open house! It's kind of our fault, as we told her that we wanted to do the minimum work.
We also skeptically believed her when she said that while a similar house in our neighborhood that sold for right at market price. she could also get way ABOVE market price!
We got another realtor who said that we needed to do some work before it got listed So, we spackled and painted and stashed even MORE **** away She listed it at about $30K less than the first one did
She was much more upfront about the neighbor's house and how we'd be better at our current price
We have a MUCH better feeling about this!

I always hated being the one as a Realtor to tell the clients the first one had been way too high. And sometimes it would be me who was caught with an overpriced listing because the client insisted on "well let's give it a try we can always come down"

With the first one, after a month of no showings, she dropped the price $10K. But it was still over priced
The current price is $30K less than the reduced price

I am putting these photos here because some people might be interested?

If yes, I suggest checking your news feeds about these routers.

I will not post the article these photos are from due to the nature of the article and forum rules

TP-link devices have long been known to be one of the easier compromises out there, hence contributing significantly to the botnet issues (among other problems.) I don't recall the compromises being tied back to State security like they have recently, though.

There are a few things that can be done to mitigate exposure, though.

1) ALWAYS change the default administrative password
2) ALWAYS disable administrative access from the WAN port, aka dirty port, aka Internet port. The port that leads to your ISP's device should never ever be available for admin access.

Okay, obviously, if other nefarious access is baked into the device, then you're already sunk.

For most people, though, a forklift move to another device really won't be that difficult.

Merry Christmas everybody. Hope everyone's doing well. I've been for a mostly quiet Christmas. And a few hours from now I'll be throwing some ham on the smoker and that will mostly be my contribution to Christmas dinner. I say mostly because I haven't decided if I'm going to bake something else yet.

Lessee..... Casserole cookies (dates, coconut, walnuts, etc.) were made Sunday. The Pioneer Woman's Burgundy Mushrooms were made yesterday. This morning, roasted off bacon, and made Brazilian tapioca cheese rolls. Off to brunch with friends in about 45 minutes.
