Nothing exciting just some pork on a WSM. I thought I bought butts until I opened the package and found out they were picnics. No big deal. Turned out to be a beautiful warm summers day, sunny and 82 outside.
Slathered them with mustard and seasoned them with just salt, pepper and granulated garlic over Royal Oak lump and peach chunks for smoke. Cooked them mostly at 275 uncovered and at 250 foiled.
Pork at 165

Pork probe tender after being foiled for a while in the smoker, I think 2.5 hours. Total cook time was 9 hours.

Covered the pan with new foil and put it in the microwave for an hour to keep warm then pulled it.

My Wife spent the day at the dentist and didn't feel like pork for dinner. I found a leftover chicken thigh in the fridge, chopped it up, made a little pasta, cooked some frozen veggies in a wok, added a little teriyaki sauce and she was very happy with her dinner. Total cook time, however long it takes to boil some pasta.

Served with some homemade slaw, Ranch style beans, and some steamed frozen corn. Pork was very good, I like it with just simple seasonings.
