I worked all day Saturday and Sunday on the property. Took Monday off to relax and watch the Giants and get in my only cook for the Labor Day Weekend. The cook was fun and the game was abysmal. Decided to go with Patty Melts with parmesan potato wedges and some ABTs. The peppers and potato wedges were great, but the Patty Melts were a bust, at least a visual bust. Here's the pic's.
Caramelized onions for the burgers.

Used the 26er this time for them.

Patties on mixed with S&P and some Worcestershire Sauce.

Here's where things went south. The Rye Bread I bought was super fresh. I knew when I buttered them and tore two pieces it was going to be tough sledding. The slices immediately fell apart after toasting one side. Did the best I could but was so disgusted I just threw the rest of the burgers together. Not seen are the caramelized onions and a slice of Swiss Cheese to top them off. I'll find a crustier, firmer bread next time.
