Pastrami Burger

I found 3 pieces of Pastrami from a largish piece I got from Restaurant Depot a few months back while looking for PP in my freezer..... I'd kind of forgot that I had it so that was a nice surprise.

Melt some cheese, toast the bun

Stir it up

Add some spicy jalapeno beer mustard (home made!)

The only thing I'd have changed (I thought while eating it) was double the portions! I am stuffed now :)

If you ever come into UT stop by one of the Greek burger joints (Apollo Burgers, Crown Burgers) and try one - get the Golden Burger if you see it - same thing but on a thick piece of Texas Toast (garlic I think).

That's pure genius! All the fixins' including the cheese cooked up in the CI and made into one killer burger. Gonna have to start a Clint cookbook

Wow Clint - what a great idea. Your burger looks awesome. How about a recipe for the spicy beer mustard - Kari would love that?

Regards,

John

Here it is John - it's good, but I prefer plain yellow mustard on my brats: http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?65946-Spicy-Beer-Mustard-trying-3-variations

Love that burger. The beer... not so much.

We warmed up for a soccer game at my house a little over a week ago, it was brought by someone else. I've drank my share of it over the years.....especially before I first brewed.....

Great looking burger Clint, what dark beer did you use for the mustard

Cutthroat Pale Ale I think..... Next batch will be done with Makers Mark bourbon.

That's one fantastic burger, adding cheese with the onions and Pastrami on top of a burger. Man you sure do some amazing cooks and I like them.
