Oriental Dinner on Cinco de Mayo?

Yeah, it doesn't make sense, but my 10 year old daughter had been wanting to make sushi for a few days and I thought we'd better do it before the crab went bad. So while her and her mom worked on that, me and my 16 year old daughter worked on the broccoli beef out on the kettle.

This work table really comes in handy for wok cooking outside.

Egg for the noodles. Half the family likes white rice, the other half, including me, prefers noodles.

My oldest daughter is quite upset though. Not only is it Cinco de Mayo, but it's also Taco Tuesday, and we had oriental. Don't worry. I'm getting ready to go make some margaritas.

Maybe not in the spirit of the 'holiday', but I'll take a plate of that any day.
 
Great looking meal, and always fun to cook with the younger ones! I need to dig my wok out.....been too long since I fired it up!

That looks like a great meal, regardless of the day. Your wok looks like it's been loved, and it looks great, like I wish mine did.
