Onlyfire 13 bar flavorizer sets in stainless steel, $14 at Amazon

I had a summit 420 with 9mm grates that grill have a lot of hard miles on it but the grates looked flawless and brand new after a deep cleaned them. Not a pit or mark or anything. The quality of the SS was incredible. I wonder if that SS was the same.
Those are the ones, you don't still have them? They were the only part of that grill that was worth anything.

Oh, ok. You had a newer one that was still worth money. The newer grates have a cross member in the middle. They are still nice, but not as desirable. You want a set from a late 90's Summit, and yes you can pick those up for cheap or free if you keep an eye out.

Thank you Steve I'm on it! I found a couple pairs on eBay but let's do some shopping around.

I detailed cars, trucks and semis when I was a kid for cash. Mother's will get just about anything out of Stainless Steel. View attachment 94816View attachment 94817

Ahhh nice. Wow that cleaned up good. I picked this one up for 25 bucks and juat sold it for 225. I cleaned it with 0000 and simple green and then polished it with cooking spray aaha but I couldn't get all the marks out of the trays. Does that Mothers polish help with that ?

Mother's, Rubbing compound and car wax will really bring out the shine and make any massively run down grill look new again. Unless it need paint.

@Steve Hoch this one's only 20 minutes from me but it's worse than I would normally take on because the floor is rotted out. I know I can make these 9mm grates like new again though. Probably wrong size for Genesis anyway.Screenshot_20240701_210742_Chrome.jpg

Yep about 2" too deep
I could modify them but is it worth it?

You can do whatever you want. We were originally talking about the old school Summit grates that they used in the late 90's to early 2000's. Those are the good ones. They are Weber part #9930.

Yes I understand Steve. I just got a little overly excited LOL. Looking for #9930 now or a cheap or free older Summit with a pair.
