Charcoal should be a little more difficult, but still light. LP in a 20 lb bottle (okay, 8kg or so, for you, @GrantTWhoa…. Not sure how you would light frozen charcoal.

First snow and cold of the season in Northern Illinois today. Latest since they started keeping records. Now you all are making me feel guilty for complaining to DH that I was cold. It is 80F outside here and the AC was blowing cold air on my back. I asked him to cover the vents.
Yep, we’ve gotten almost two inches in the last couple of hours! Interestingly enough, I just got fresh gas in the snowblower can! Was not expecting this much this fast.First snow and cold of the season in Northern Illinois today. Latest since they started keeping records.
Wasn't late enough for me. I would have preferred to not have it at allFirst snow and cold of the season in Northern Illinois today. Latest since they started keeping records.
We had -70 back in the late 90's in the fox valley, that was with the wind chill....temperatures between -45c and -55c with wind chill. Not even stepping outside!
That would be as low as -67f for you non-metric folk.
That is my problem, but in reverse. It's DH that is taking things off. lol I usually sit out here at my desk with my back to the vent and have a blanket around my shoulders most of the day. It gets so bad sometimes that I have a blanket that I use to keep my legs and feet warm.Joan, it's gone from 23 F at 0700 to 18 F now, and still forecast to drop to 13 by 1700. We've gotten about an inch of icy crud here. A coworker who lives about 3 hours (in good weather) north of here has already gotten 10-12" and is expecting more than that yet. When I talked to him a couple of hours ago, he couldn't even open his back door.
OTOH..... when it gets that warm like you have it, there's a limit to what I can take off. And then people just laugh and point a lot.
