New Old Stock 1974 26" Red Weber....

Nice. It would be interesting to have it and a new kettle compared objectively, metal gauge and grade, enamel thickness and hardness, etc.

HOLY CRAP!!! AWSOME!!! That's as old as I am. You can send it to me, I need a birthday Redhead Aristocrat 26r.

So, are you going to use it, or put it in the house to compliment the décor?;)

Found at an estate sale that quickly turned into an auction. No, I doubt I will ever fire it up. It will probably be a "looker".

Great find!! I think I would try to work it into the front room decor... I wonder if Weber would buy it if it were for sale??

Thank you sharing pics! Your grill is true art. I would be torn to use it or just display it. These grills should be used, but at 50 years old and at such pristine shape it should be displayed for all to see.

What a great find, I would be bursting at the seams if I found something like that. I missed how much you paid for it.

Yeah, how much was it?

I couldn't cook on it, too original. I would happily sell it for a nice profit, though.

I can assure you Stephen's not going to disclose the price......but it's probably safe to say more than we paid for our last 5 grills combined.

LOL. Yeah it was something. The Antique company received over 100 inquires regarding the grill (including several Weber execs and a Stephens family member).

Also, there was a New Old Stock 22" Red Electric Kettle. A well known collector bought this grill.
