Hi all, this week I have been working on my binders with recipes from other countries. I have finished countries in Africa and Asia and can't get over how many delicious sounding recipes are just waiting to be made. Like for example, Morocco. I drool just reading them. lol

Do you have a country that you like to cook their food or want to cook? Would like to hear from you. And of course if you request any recipes, from anywhere in the world, and if I have them, you know I will be happy to share them with you.

Sometimes I think that I would like to see how grilling in Europe would compare to the U.S..

The absolute best goulash I ever had was in a small village in the Czech Republic. Fan-fricking-tactic.

We had a neighbor from El Salvador who could turn a large pack of chicken pieces, some white rice and herbs from her yard into heaven on a plate. She also introduced us to home made chimol, it’s like salsa, but better!

I love mexican food ( or what might be considered tex-mex) , I also like italian ....I would like to go there and find one of the best chefs and tell em throw your best pasta dish my way and compare to what Ive had in the US. I cook both but ive also dabbled in japanese , I bought a wok with a gas burner some years ago and all the seasonings used in dishes for stir fry....I decided I would rather leave it to the experts who cook it day in day out. Actually cooking in the wok was fun though

I like to go around the world. My go to flavors tend to lean Mediterranean but I have been known to go Asian, African, Middle Eastern, and yes South of the Border as well. Depends on my mood

🇸🇰 Slovakia. Grandma's cooking from what was then known as Czechoslovakia when she emigrated.
I remember her ham & cabbage and pirogi. Served on green depression glass dinnerware.

Somewhere around here I have a Slovak recipe book.

Do you make their dumplings?

I have not. However, another older family member who is Ukrainian born has made them for me, and they were yummy. She has also promised to teach me to make pirogi her way :)
This is a pretty good book. For some specific foods you ‘ll need the Ukrainian spelling.51AA05DD-3B59-4A56-A1B3-0C65993622F4.jpeg
