Right. I did say that, didn't I? Here's the thing, it might be too nice to cook on. I'm not saying I won't do it, but....

Won't scratch it up Steve but will leave little bits that will make orange dots. Best to use a non scratch blue scotch brite

Thanks Larry, I just finished going over it with simple green and a micro fiber towel. I think that did it but won't really know until it dries. I'll go blue scrubbie if I need to take it up a notch.

I can't live without mother's polish I use it on almost every project polishing all types of metal and getting out rust stains,discoloration, you name it.... Easy recommendation to keep on hand

I have use Mothers on aluminum parts but never thought to try it on stainless. Now we know how you get that electrifying shine!

I use it on all metal parts that I'm cleaning up nuts bolts you name it. Even this old Craftsman vise

I did sand it all the way down to 3000 grit though

I do both but you can accomplish a lot by hand
