bought this tri tip from Jacob's Meat Market in Appleton last month. Trim nearly 1/2 pound of fat off it.
seasoned with KS+P, granulated gaaaalic powder, cayenne pepper and celery seed after it was EVOO'd
Butternut squash and onions were prepped then on the grill
after a while, the tri joined in.
5 minutes each side direct, then indirect until the internal temp hit 135ºF
meanwhile, we sat back to enjoy today's sunny warmth.
mushrooms and peppers were tossed into a CIS near the end of today's cook...
the beef sliced thin was wonderful
then served on warm whole wheat rolls with various cheeses and the onions and the peppers and the 'shrooms...
and it was just Fantastic! The Best tasting Tri Tip I've cooked. Very Good!!
The squash also was very delicious.... I wish ALL my dinners were this nice.
