So tonight is bittersweet, daughter #4 is home from college on spring break and daughter #2 is moving out tomorrow to NYC. Made my best yakatori to date for all of us.
Ingredients lined up for the marinade, fresh diced ginger, garlic,scallion, soy sauce, Mirin and Sake
Sit for an hour or so then in a bag with the chicken thighs cut into chunks and chicken livers too
The basting marinade on the stove top reducing for and hour or so, soy, Mirin, garlic, ginger, Sake, and a 1/4 cup sugar
Every thing racked up for the cook with pineapple scallion radish and some Pearl Onions I boiled, cooled and peeled and some Baby Bella shrooms
Tonights brew of choice, it's a good one
on the grill going nicely, being basted on every turn
On the table with a nice salad put together by the CEO
Your plate tonight with some nice Jasmine Rice with Soy and Sriracha
