Let's have a little 'apple pie' before we get started.
The drink:
Michelob Ultra Light Cider, with a little Evan Williams cinnamon bourbon poured in.

This turned out really great, with more apple taste than I expected.
2 thumbs up from Jo Anne, and she took some for her lunch at work today.

My guess is, that this would work well with just plain apple cider too.

Thanks for the visit! :wsm:

That looks great! Pork loins use to be less than my favorite. I'm loving them more and more these days. Awesome post.

Wow! I would have never thought about that as a brine. Great idea Bob and a nice looking cook. You make it look easy so this one is on the list. Thanks.

That's a great cook Bob. I like the idea of getting the apple taste into the meat which is why I like apply wood for smoke. I'm gonna have to try that one!

It reminds me of my favorite BBQ sauce recipe that calls for 2 cups of bourbon. First step is to taste the bourbon to ensure it's to standard, then add half cup to the recipe, which is followed by drinking the rest of the bourbon to ensure it didn't go bad during the process.

Very interesting cook and a stunning plated pic. Well done Bob! If you like the Michelob stuff, try Angry Orchard. Boston Beer Co (Sam Adams) makes it, and I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it.

Awesome cooking! Love to cook with cider too. As for hard cider, pippin, or pear cider. Its almost that time of year for harvest please try some from your locals or great national craft brands.

We have Doc's from Warwick NY here... Always a delicious choice!

and a new favorite of mine is Original Sin (I drink it on tap at the pub here in NJ)...

Woodchuck from VT makes great stuff too. I like their Pear cider the best... and they have variety 6 packs:

Please give these (or any craft cider) a try before any of you decide if you like cider or not from just AB's Michelob Ultra offering. I think you'll find them in a different league. Even Magner's Irish is a bit more of what I like about the good juice!
