Brand new to BBQing & this great forum.
I've used my brilliant gas Q2000 three times, even managed to change the regulator without blowing myself up.
I forgot to fold the 'side table' flaps out the last timed I switched on to pre-heat.
You can imagine what happened - melted plastic everywhere... mainly on the grill bars but also on the inner bottom half, burner. The drip catcher tray was on fire with melted plastic.
Weber sell the side trays but the ones on their site don't mention the Q2000 for compatibility.
Tried scraping the molten plastic off but it's rock solid... is the whole thing for the junk yard or can it be saved. I'll send some pics of what I've done so far?
