Little seafood snacks!

Today was a crazy Saturday! Running around crazy! Had a halibut cook planned but things got crazy so we just snacked tonight!

Started with some scallops and prawns soaked in white wine and garlic!

Bacon makes everything good and scallops are no exception! Bit of cherry wood on these guys!

While those were smoking I pulled my tester of carrots! Tryin to see what we can grow up in the frozen northwest!

And a few naked scallops on and some shrimp!

I can imagine Halibut is good but it doesn't look like your second option was to shabby, man that looks good. I haven't tried any seafood the the kettle, this makes me want. Great looking meal Morgan.
 
Around here, a "snack" is microwave popcorn or a peanut butter sandwich. I like your idea of a snack much better! Good looking scallops and shrimp!
 
Morgan...now you will have us from Wisconsin hunting to find the porter here! Hope I can find it soon! If those are just snacks WOW. Love your posts and meal too!
 
Outstanding as always, Morgan. What a great looking cook. As much as I love halibut, there's not much of a drop-off with what you came up with.

Going to visit the folks today, and Pops is cooking up a mess of ling cod and rock fish. Your pics really have me in the mood for that now!

BTW, are those spot prawns, by chance?

Thanks guys! Wasn't really much and anybody could do it! Costco scallops and well the shrimp I actually got from my Aunt yesterday as she thought her freezer was dying so I went over and did some freezer diving!

Jim I will keep the porter! It was super good!(aquired taste I guess!)

Mike these were actually tiger prawns! Sorry no spots in a while! Sold our smaller boat for a bigger one coming soon and my freezer is running low on some particulars!

These look amazing! Might have to make a stop at the local seafood place on the way home from work today.
