Howdy folks...busy day of unpacking from the camping trip that didn't happen...did some chores...few for my mother...got home and spent pretty much the rest of the day in the garage..you might remember the little SJS I rescued around Memorial Day..decided to finish that resto off!!
Here was a pic of the legs after I cut them off!

hope they're not too expensive over there... in the off season, I've seen them sold for 8 bucks a pound:eek:
growing them here is pretty easy
...I've seen perfect one's at local farmer's veggie stands about 2 to 3 bucks for a loaded plastic pint container
 
I've not heard of "patty pans" before, after some research I am SO wanting to try them. Never noticed them in local grocery stores, they may be there and I just never 'see' them. So is the outer skin of these "hard" or more like zucchini/yellow squash?
