Kroger Enhanced Ribs - 8% Solution

Usually buy locally sourced ribs from the farmer's market

Found some enhanced spares at Kroger for 1.49 a pound and I could not resist the deal; however, I am second guessing it now.

Believe they are enhanced 8%

Besides dialing back or eliminating the salt from the rub, will the solution drastically affect the texture, taste or cooking time?

I don't think it will affect times or texture. I've personally always steered clear of enhancements but your plan of limiting salt will probably serve you well.

I've smoked Kroger ribs, and if it's any consolation, you could do worse. Use a low salt rub and IME they do get tender faster. The upside though is that they can be FOTB without losing much in moisture.
