Kitchen out - Weber on...

After 21 years in our house it's time for a new kitchen.
So it's out with the old...

and whilst we have no oven - the Performer gets some extra use ...

Saturday night was steak night - three lovely sirloins rubbed with Olive Oil, rosemary and chilli peppers

in all foil are the sides - jacket potatoes, stuffed tomatoes, asparagus, mushrooms etc

then on Sunday night after a long day putting up the lights on our outside tree

it was time for a good old roast chicken - oiled, some smoked paprika, lemon up the cavity and a light smoking with rosemary twigs...

all in all a good weekends grilling...
thanks folks
Chris

Everything looks excellent Chris! Who needs an oven when you own a Weber? ;)
I don't think I even remember how to use our oven, been way too long.

Chris, you just updating or blowing out walls and remodeling? Grill will work great during demo. Not sure about you but home cooked meals are much better than take out!

Your going to have fun!
Everything grilled every day until you get the kitchen done. :)

Just updating - that's costing enough!
of course there was always the take-out option - but Weber'd grub is SO much better!!!

How many nights of your good cooking are we in for, Chris?

alas just those two - unfortunately working/commuting stops me grilling week nights..
but i'm never away for too long - and will be doing Christmas Turkey on my Performer rotisserie this year - it'll be brined in sparkling white wine amongst other things, watch out for that post :)

Done the kitchen thing twice and it's a pain but well worth it. Worst part was doing the dishes in the bath tub until I got smart and did the paper plate thing for almost everything. Ours took about three weeks both times, but the grills were great instead of take out. Good luck on your remodel.

Very nice looking steaks Chris!! The nice thing about cooking thinks in a Performer is that it can be used exactly like an oven too. IF it fits it will bake, I haven't used my oven in over three years!!!

VeryNice Chris!
You're gonna hafta show us before & after photos of your kitchen when you're finished....

Your cooks so far look great -- keep it up! Can't wait to see the completed kitchen project.

In the summer here I go weeks at a time where I cook everything on the grills and smokers. If it requires 350*F or below it hits the smoker, 351*F or above hits the grill. Direct = stove. Indirect = oven. Do some chocolate chip cookies for desert - they're fantastic with a bit of smoke flavor.
