My computer's been on a crash diet lately, mainly when I type.
Finally found out that if I slow down (as if I'm a 2 finger bolt of lightning on a keyboard) it seems to do better.
Anyhow, I'm a sucker to try anything new, so I gave the Kingsford Smokehouse briquets a go with lunch burgers the other day.
Started with tots over K-comp in a char-basket.
Dropped in just one smoke briq.
Salted 3 one third pound burgers.
And let the meat greet the heat.
Ketchup and hot sauce for tot dipping.
The burgers were great, with a nice hint of smoke.
My thoughts about the briqs so far:
They will flare up a little, but not as bad as wood.
Didn't time the length of smoke produced, but it seemed like several minutes.
Not a heavy flow of smoke from only one.
Surely need to use more than one for a smokier taste.
I'll test them again, but the bag will probably go to my little RV to use with the SJ when camping.
Hope to get a new laptop this week, so I can get back here and pester the hell out of y'all!
Have a great grillin' & smokin' Sunday!
