My cousin got Edward Lee's cookbook "smoke and pickles" and he thought we should try his Kalbi recipe (Korean BBQ beef short ribs). The local grocery happened to have flanken cut short ribs on sale, it was meant to be. Damn these are so good, and easy. Marinated the meat for 3 hours and on the grill for 2 min a side till medium (too chewy when med-rare). Also skewered and grilled mushrooms, red onion, and zucchini. Put it all on a plate with jasmine rice and a little Island Teriyaki sauce. This is now a go to dinner. The picture is not great, sorry, it was a quick pic before everything was devoured.

Must do! Never tried the flanken style, when and if I can find them I will try something similar
