Picked up three NY Strips from the local grocer in our small town. He has his own butchering facility and raised the beef he sells. Some of the most flavorful beef around this area. Fired up the Performer. The rest is history.

I don’t buy strip steaks because they’re a bit lean for me. I’d definitely make an exception if I could buy some like yours. Those are beautiful steaks!

Keep an eye out. I think some unfortunate Iowa farmers will be looking to unload some cheap beef

Not that I have noticed. Of course, with several meat plant closings in recent days, it won't be too long before we notice an impact.

It's Iowa. Most likely corn fed.

Looks great, love any meat finished on corn, even the deer taste better from the corn belt to be honest, I don't see the taste from grass fed beef to be honest, its cheaper to produce and lacks flavor in the fat. It may be healthier but let folks eat top or bottom round or London broil for a healthier cut lol
