Put the little devil back in the fridge.
Started getting my fire assembled around 9:45pm. Ring filled with about a 60/40 ratio of recycled to new KBB.
Lit 20 new KBB's in the chimney along with about 15 Trader Joes briquettes.
5 fist sized chunks of Apple, 3 buried and 2 put on top of the coals.
Contrary to my norm, I decided to use water in the pan this time.

I wanted to sleep without alarms, so I opted to go with the IQ110. I usually don't use it unless I'm doing an overnighter.
Meat on at 11pm...all systems go.

Part 2

Woke up around 8:30am Saturday after an alarm free night.

IT hit 180 around 9:30am, so I figured what the hell? I'll take the money muscle off for a snack.
Given the small size of the butt, the MM was also tiny, but also very yummy.

Around 11am, IT of 190 reached, probed for doneness and it was ready to rest.

During the rest, whipped up some Big Bob Gibson's Red sauce.
12:30pm: Unwrap, pull and serve.

This was my best butt to date. The combination of the injection, rub and sauce was very good.
The slaw...not so much. What I get for rushing out and buying store stuff.

Thanks for looking.

Its nice up in Camarillo...I will PM you when we do our road trips up the coast to have a beer.
I have 2.
5 yr old girl and 6 yr. old boy.

Awesome! Got plenty for them to play with...11 yo girl, 6 yo boy, 2 yo boy and a surprise due around Thanksgiving. :)

Great looking pulled pork there , brother. And not to hijack your thread.....but I've looked at the IQ110 many times and I've heard mixed reviews..... Do you find it to be a good investment?
