Actually now that I look more carefully at the pictures for those doors, what am I looking at exactly? It appears that you are also getting frame pieces that the doors fit in?
I think the ‘86-‘87s had the wide slats and that they switched to narrow in ‘88.pasting the pic here for posterity.
Its older than my 89/90 with an earlier style tank gauge hanging off the side (vs a sticker ) and the front controls on the side burner.

I love the "Blurple"Well I got it! I still can't believe what a deal.... 25 bucks for a brand new never cooked on Performer Deluxe! I was expecting the more deep blue color.... can't say I've ever seen this blurple color before.View attachment 122637View attachment 122639View attachment 122638

Nice score!Just picked up my third 2nd generation Summit Platinum grill for free. I was just wanting the #9930 grates that are very valuable to me but the grill is actually in pretty good condition. Much better than the other two summit platinum grills I had. @Jon Tofte will be happy to know I'm going to do some grilling with it. I probably won't keep it though. If it was a first Generation Summit I would keep it and do Jon's cook box fix. Anyways i put a new battery in and cleaned the corosion inside the battery terminal and all the igniters worked perfectly. Grates, burners and flav bars are in very good condition and I'm confident they will clean up like new.

Yeah it's definitely not my style but it will be fun to do some grills with it and see how it works. If it was a first generation I'd be interested in fixing it up.Nice score of some 9930's. The rest of the grill, Meh.
