I will just leave this here

I definitely liked my very similar SS Platinum. It was hotter and hot faster than my x000 grills. Having one of each would be even better, but there goes that collecting (hoardingo_O) bug again!
I still have my Genesis 1000 but I'm the kind of person who will only use one grill even if I have others to choose from.

My first redhead was a 1000 gave it to my daughter and replaced it with a Silver C. As Jon said its hotter and faster to heat up and the side burner is nice to have but I don't really use it that much. No difference in the food that I cook from the 1000 and to be honest I don't notice any difference in flare ups either but every 3 mos I pull the large grease tray and clean it, replace the small aluminum liner.

Also since I replaced the flavor bars last year you save a bit of money since your only buying 5.

That's pretty much been my experience. It took a few cooks to get used to the difference between the two grills but I've got it dialed in now. I'll probably never use the side burner, but I like the way it looks.

Great score. Awesome color!

Yeah, pretty sure 10-12 here. Already sick of it and still have lots more to do. Grandson and I did drive and patio in front 3X yesterday and woke up to another mess. Plus this time plow truck came by the house and of course they have to pile it on at the end of the drive. Their old trucks had a wing plow/deflector and it would prevent it piling up like that. Then they'd simply push it off at the end of the street. I'd almost prefer they didn't plow the streets. Went out this AM, cleared once more. Too tired and cold to do patio and the deck. Maybe later. Wind is a PIA now too

The pics are just NOT doing the color justice.... it really IS more purple than blue..... blurple. Toyota had a similar color on 4runners back in the late 90s. And yes - I do have the timer for it --- it fell out as I was rolling it out of the guys back yard and put it in my pocket so it wouldn't get lost on the way home.

Its funny because when I first saw the ad, my first thought was 'I should send this to Mr Moriarty'..... But then I thought 'why wouldn't I reply to it for an EASY $400 profit?' I just got done gloating over the phone with him....

I've decided to give my neighbor first right of refusal on this grill --- I told him to research it and come back to me with a # that he would feel good about paying for it --- WITHOUT actually telling him what I paid for it --- I figure I would let him have it for $275ish even if he came back with a higher # because he NEEDS this grill so that he can get rid of his Big Joe kamado --- that thing has been nothing but trouble for him. Strange that he was saying that he would rather have a tripod grill over the cart.... he's worried about footprint....???....???

If he passes on it for whatever reason - that I will summarily dismiss - I'll be listing it up for $450 or 500 --- Moriarty says that the blurple is unique and 'should' bring a premium.
