I will just leave this here

I’d love to come across one of those new in box or unused at the actual price they paid versus the $600+ asking prices.
It likely was priced pretty much right about there in 2001 FWIW. Heck back in 92 I paid $450 for my Genesis 2 (no side burner), on closeout for like $125 off because they were moving them out for the new Genesis 2000 models. So I could have seen the new sticker on that one listed being $600+

The receipt for my 1997 Genesis 1000LX. So I could see a bigger grill 4 years later being $600+ unless Webers cost cutting measures after 2nd generation made them able to reduce the retail price. If I had to guess they probably cut production cost but still sold for about $600.

I just can't imagine someone sitting on this grill for that long. I would imagine they have had several offers over the last 4 years or so and some were probably pushing the $600 mark. Certainly over $500 and they are still sitting on it? At some point you would assume they would just want to get it out of the garage.

I feel like the NOS Jr. For sale on eBay has been up for sale for a similar amount of time. I recently offered $600 including shipping. The seller was nice and professional but declined considering shipping would cost him about $200. I may try to offer $800 including shipping.
