I will just leave this here

I missed out on a really nice looking 2000 redhead yesterday..... too busy (really lazy) to hook up the trailer to go get it, but said I'd pick it up today. Got a message this morning that a neighbor had wheeled it off since she moved it out to the curb. Kinda kicking myself, but not really....

Yes,
I hate it when that happens. I just picked up Platinum and asked them not to put to the curb and they did fortunate for me no one got it. I drove 45 minutes to get it too.

What a mess. If it were something more special, I suppose at least the hood could be brought back with paint stripper. That one is headed to scrap I am afraid.

Took a break from rehab work to tend to my workhorse that I’ve been neglecting. I forgot how quick this thing heats up since I do mostly indirect cooking. Scrape and burn off. It’s about 100 in the sun here. But in 7 minutes?! Almost 600 is impressive.

Is it normal for the vents to be porcelain coated on those things? I don't know much about them, but I would be pretty skeptical of the claims made in the add.

This was made I believe for Tuffy and if you look in this video it does appear that the vent was coated. Where this place got one of these who knows maybe they did make 2 of them would be nice if John from Weber could shed some light on this. A pity it has some damage however if its one of two and I have no idea no doubt in my mind some Kettle collector would pay the 3 grand if not more.

If you watch the video, the handle looks loose or womped out. Makes a horrible noise when he pulled up on it.

Also this one is back making the rounds. At $3500 it’s not a terrible price.
