I’ll update it when I get the time. I only had about 15 minutes after work to kill today. Didn’t want to rush welding it up. And my dad always taught me that you never weld before leaving. Sparks can smolder.

Yeah. His dad was working later one night and finished up welding on a quarter panel. Forgot to grab something to take home, and when he went back into the shop it was smoky. Thankfully it was just some undercoating smoldering so they got a cheap lesson.

Larry may well be right, but I am suspicious that the owner did just as you suggested. I have been holding a Snap On logo from that piece of junk grill I bought years ago in Florida that Snap On was stupid enough to allow their logo to be placed on.

I hope to someday put the badge on a Weber and make a truly good Snap On grill. Maybe a local auto shop might want to buy it!

I have come across this 02+ silver B near me. Owner says the lid porcelain is dark gray, not black.. Could this be Mica Black? Never seen one, and haven't gone to look yet.....

Yes, there were a couple shades of black/dk gray that Weber used. That certainly looks gravy vs black. Even to my color blind eyes.

Sure looks like gunmetal gray. I like it. Great color as it affords a lot of flexibility in how you treat the other aesthetics

The cool thing with dark gray is it's neutral. You can add a pop of color on the knobs maybe the trays and that thing would really look (to show my age) "boss"
