I will just leave this here

So I set out this weekend hoping to score a couple curb finds. I saw a bunch of newer spirit 2 burners. Not a single silver a b or c, or any 1/1000’s. This morning when I was finally giving up on my quest after having passed on several sidewinders, a few E3XX’s, a couple performers, a big q, and that summit as I can only get so much in the van. One of the last roads I was on, this beauty was there for the taking. Another SSP!

Then when I went to lunch with a packed full van. This spirit II is sitting out.
I need to start driving around more, holy heck.

Cool, I didn't know that either.
Me neither! Smart on Weber’s part.

Yes, unfortunately before I noticed this, the pin was seized in the cook box on one side, the other side the cookbox was broken. I tried to snap the cookbox and got the end caps. But I thought it would be cool to have a Genesis Gold, without a thermometer in the end cap. But of course the right side end cap without the thermometer is the one that’s broken. I was on the side of a heavily traveled road and had to get in a bus in 20 minutes.

I did pirate the side burner too. I wasn’t thinking or I’d have tried to get the igniter too. It’s all still tucked in the van as I couldn’t unload it all while the wife is home. Still shocked the plastic end caps came off as easy as they did. Those are soaking in bleach/dawn.

So you at least got some parts out of it.
