I will just leave this here

Brian O'Neal is his name. Seems like a nice guy to me. I've talked to him several times. He actually made the handle and slats for my friend Greg's Genesis X000 high level restoration back in 2016.

Had my first experience with a Summit in the wild this morning. It got a hat roadside stripping. I was amazed that the plastic end pieces came right out with some persuasion with my impact gun 🤣 I’m going to go back and see if I can get the igniter off of it.

Yes that's the same place same guy as Jon. I'm pretty sure Jon understands though. I haven't heard him complain.
Yes, I am still waiting. My very custom handle seems to be problematic as it is up to a year now. First, I want to agree that Brian O'Neil's workmanship is superb and that he is a good friend of us grill fanatics. I have a variety of his handles, even one for the PK grill. I also do understand that he has had to make a kind of reboot. For a while he ran very few ads, but now we are seeing more posted. That's a good sign that production is ramping up again.

Having emerged from my dreaded tax season, I plan to try and prod him a little to see if I can actually USE my custom CharQ this season!

So I set out this weekend hoping to score a couple curb finds. I saw a bunch of newer spirit 2 burners. Not a single silver a b or c, or any 1/1000’s. This morning when I was finally giving up on my quest after having passed on several sidewinders, a few E3XX’s, a couple performers, a big q, and that summit as I can only get so much in the van. One of the last roads I was on, this beauty was there for the taking. Another SSP!

Then when I went to lunch with a packed full van. This spirit II is sitting out.

A red SSP for the picking - WOW! I hope you can make it look, and work great again.

The bowl

The bowl and lid are both pretty rough. I was hoping I’d have come across a 22” black lid because I have a brand new performer bowl in my stash.

The copper 310 was a hard one to pass on. The bottom was very good. There was also an NG one with a very nice bottom, but I resisted those itches.
