I will just leave this here

So sad. Those are super well-built cookers. They just look stodgy and not at all stylish and don't hold value. That one looks to have some of the nice extras in that it has the REAL stainless cart and a full set of heavy duty shelves.

I did one years ago, with a custom handle that an artist friend hand-painted the Broilmaster logo on, but I didn't have all those shelves:

Jon you truly have an amazing portfolio of grill restorations. I've probably only seen a fraction of them. Always impressive

You have seen most of them. Sometimes I dig back pretty far in the crock pot. You have done more in the past year than I have in years. But, like you, I enjoy doing special ones.

I will always be a Weber person, but Broilmaster is another great brand still made here in the US. They just can't seem to get store placement or sales traction, even with their newer all-stainless model. Their original heavy cast aluminum ones are powerful, even cookers that lose out in the resale market only because they are, well, kind of ugly!

Most people consider them very good cookers but they are a pretty dated design. They used that same basic lid for a very long time. Parts availability is another issue with those old ones. If you can find the parts, they can get pretty pricey. I did one about 5 years ago and it was a fun project and I was lucky enough to actually make a few bucks on the flip.

Nice work Bruce!!

Yah, kinda wondering if I should maybe start carrying while meeting people to sell a grill. I don't think things are to that point yet here in my neck of the woods though. I have had a concealed carry permit for a good ten years and can count on one hand how many times I actually carried.

I kinda got scared 4-5 nights ago though. I live alone and someone was pounding hard on my front door. I didn't know if I should grab my 9mm or check the door. It wound up being the neighbor boy. His dad evidently has some anger issues and grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground and was acting all crazy. He is a bar owner, so that probably explains a lot. The kid ran out of the house in his socks with snow on the ground and didn't know what to do so he ran over here. He called 911 and I walked him back over when the cops showed up. I gave him a pair of shoes to wear.

But the way he was banging on my door scared me pretty good.

Always good to be prepared and have a family plan IMO. Or just a plan if you live alone.

I wouldn't worry about it. You can delete if you want, but I thing if we just get back to grills now, all is good.

I'm gonna do a chuck roast this week. I want to slow cook it. Should I do it low and slow indirect or should I put it on the rotisserie? I am looking for recommendations.
