That's true, and pretty much the same grill as the one I posted with the completely rotted out bottom. What's the difference? They are both from my immediate area. Why did one rust out so badly while the other survived intact?

OMG… Maybe the key to preventing rust is to install the floor pan backwards!

Yup. Also, NG has a solid floor, a round hole in the back panel, and does not have the heat shield under the slide out bottom pan.

Looking for a color match for the copper Genesis 3xx grills? The lid will clean up OK, but the doors are thrashed.

The doors definitely need some paint if it is going to sell.

My plan was to put the copper lid and doors on an E310 in good condition but the doors are a bit rough

There's a really good thread on the older style logos, but didn't find anything on the newer style.

I have two that the fake chrome is bubbling.

Thanks. The last one I picked up isn't worth spending $14 on. I might just prep it like the older style and see how it looks with a matte finish.

There is really no low cost way to replicate the chrome-look plastic coating on the new style badges. While you can buy “chrome” paint, I don’t think it will work very well. Might be better to go a custom color route as @LMichaels suggested.
