I did message a guy on marketplace once… he said fully restored. So I asked him what he did. He said he pressure washed it inside and out and spray painted the cookbox and inside of the lid. He sent me a pic of the can. I then proceeded to call him an idiot. It’s not a proud moment, but given the situation I felt it necessary.

IDK, don't blow a gasket on that person blow it on the one stupid enough to believe that BSI read a guys description once of his restoration and he said the cookbox was completely cleaned to LIKE NEW CONDITION but the plack stuff still left on the inside of the cookbox was animal fat, it sealed the cookbox, he said.

Heading out to go meet up with one of my fabricator friends. Going to see if he can make SS grease tray rails, and Z bars out of recycled SS. Got my fingers crossed this goes well

Basically like a headlight restoration. I figured the same properties must apply to this versus clear plastics. In all, about 15-20 minutes spent. I’ll do a more in-depth write up later today if people want it?

Had a good conversation with my fabricator friend. I will be dropping off some repurposed Wolf SS paneling to him this week to sheer into large strips of SS, to be bent into grease tray rails. I’m on cloud 9 following this mornings events.
