I will just leave this here

Weber part #90110 if you want to continue the deep dive research further than I did. Below is a screenshot from their site listing it as Mica and it is a vendor I know and trust as much or more than a lot of other part sellers.

The mica black silver b lids are definitely more gray than black. I've seen enough of them to say that definitively.

I don’t remember the exact years mica paints were started in the auto industry. I think it was late 60’s to early 70’s in lacquer based paints. And they were HATED by the factory workers and auto body facilities alike. My dad and grandfather (and countless other shops) would literally have to spray a whole car to make the finish uniform. I want to say glass flake came about in the early 80’s.

I invite you to take a dive down the auto industry and mica paints. Then came the metal flake, and that spawned glass flake. It’s pretty interesting how the timelines seem to line up with your grill.

Gotta laugh, you guys. Taking up like 2.5 pages of Mica or not Mica :D Who cares? Question is "do you like how it looks?" if so grab it. If not, move on :D

Finished this guy up this afternoon. My wife’s coworker wanted one. It’s a Franken-Filpper. She said she didn’t want anything that’s perfect but wanted a smaller grill that will last that she could easily use… I’ll be interested to see who can figure out where everything came from? lol

Two brand new lids for $250? That is a great score and you could even use those lids on Genesis 1000 builds!
If it’s real, it’s a steal, right? We’ll see. Regular shipping popped up at just $13 so I opted for 2nd Day Air @ $22. I can’t wait to see how they make that happen but they are right here in NY (albeit on the furthest opposite side of the state). If they weren’t a vendor I’ve purchased from repeatedly before, I’d be afraid of some type of scam TBH.

I hope everything goes perfectly smooth Tom! Some nice looking lids!

If you want to send me one of those lids and that Char-Q I definitely wouldn't turn it down 😂

That Char-Q and a Broilmaster P3 are going to be the end of me, I’ve decided. I should really finish both of those projects or start hosting birthday parties for them pretty soon. The P3 is so close…I’ve just been holding out for a deal on some SS replacement side tables for it…and it’s sat that way for 2+ years now. I actually had it rehabbed well enough to be a quality cooker and was even using it at hunting camp for a bit before having a brain cramp and deciding to go “all new” in my efforts so I tore it completely apart. Big mistake. New parts have been pricey and it’s been a huge expense that I’ll never recover. You already know the story of the Char Q…I’ve never cooked on it & I never made the time to even start the lid color change I would like to do. It’s a shame. I would bet good money it’s only been used 2-3 times at most in its lifetime. After investing in having it shipped to me, I’m in it too far dollar-wise to reasonably ship it off to someone else. Some days I know exactly how @Jon Tofte…too many projects & too little time, I guess.

Well if you can put a price on it + shipping that Char-Q I could possibly be interested. I won't be offended if it's too high for me to justify.

I'm kind of in the same boat I've just been overly swamped with flips and I've been doing good with them making good money but I'm really missing building classics for myself. I'm surrounded by flip projects and trying to clear them out before I work on my own stuff but I really want to get back too building Genesis 1000s and Genesis Juniors for myself.

As you probably already know as I clear out my flips I keep getting more in. Endless cycle

It’s probably not the best picture to ask that. It’s a mash up of what I had laying around.
I'm probably not the best guy to comment on it anyway. I can tell from looking at it that it's a mix of older and newer parts but most people aren't going to see anything out of the ordinary there.

It’s a first gen B cart and round manifold, “Spirit” handle, B lid with spirit end caps. Hard to differentiate that. But I had some pucker factor thinking maybe it was a good 1000 cart. Idk if that would matter.
