I will just leave this here

This is the best evidence I have found of a Mica lid and what a Mica lid looks like. Found in the serial number and a code or paperwork describe it in this thread to be Mica Green.

"When I entered the serial number on the Weber site, it is described as "Genesis Silver B LP SS Grates/Mica Colors (USA)".

Here is a photo of the Genesis 4/5. I don't notice anything unusual about it. It is kind of buried in my garage right now so I couldn't take it outside. Maybe direct sunlight has something to do with it. But here are a couple photos. I didn't check my other gray lid, but I expect it would be very similar.

Perfect thank you Bruce! I suspect your other one is the same also. Probably most likely all gray lids with red stripes are the same and as far as I know there isn't any documentation on a gray or Mica Gray. The only possibility I can think of is that our gray lids are what Weber calls Mica black but I feel like that's a stretch because they are a fairly light gray.

I hope you boys are happy. All this talk about lids has had me checking out my inventory on hand, flipping through photos of previous projects, and Googling for other supporting data. I have a red stripe platinum on hand and have had others come through over time. There is definitely a metallic flake to them. To me, the Black Mica has always looked like a dark charcoal gray rather than a full black. I personally love the coloration. Anyways, to make a long story short, y’all just cost me $250 today but I think it’ll be money well spent in the end. While surfing the web for info, I stumbled across a pair of brand new Silver B complete lid assemblies in Black Mica from a reputable vendor that I’ve purchased from before. We’ll see if they actually have them soon enough, I guess. I’ll follow up with much better photos when and if they land in hand but here’s a teaser photo from the website to wet your whistles for now.

Thanks Tom I'm looking forward to some close-up pictures to get a better idea of the characteristic of a Mica lid!

Assume you have documentation that these are in fact Mica?

Because I know there was black and there was jet black and there was Mica black

I always assumed the charcoal gray was the regular black but I don't have any documentation.

Weber part #90110 if you want to continue the deep dive research further than I did. Below is a screenshot from their site listing it as Mica and it is a vendor I know and trust as much or more than a lot of other part sellers.
