Not often that you see that. I just wonder if it is REAL black durawood or if it was painted. I notice the handle is black, too. @Bruce you've had good success dying those handles black, but I know you couldn't get durawood to take dye. Maybe this handle was originally black, but maybe it is painted. It would be worth a look if you lived close enough.

Jon, good eye. The only black handles for those that I have ever seen were ones that I had dyed. And the durawood does look "painted" now that you mention it. But they just didn't provide a good close up photo of that.
The grill is in N. Chicago.....too far for me.

On the East Coast, we would call that grill “murdered out” (all black).
