Barb drove me over to pick up the silver kettle (I can't drive for a month) we get there and it turns out to be an 18.5 not a 22.5 my bad I forgot to ask, at least Barb said well look for another one.

On older kettles the 22" has its vent at the end of the handle, 18" on the side.
