Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all! Just a simple post for number 1000. Don’t know about you guys but we’re finding it hard to get any decent store bought hamburger buns around here. Even the local supermarkets bakery ones aren’t that hot. So Barb decided to do some research and make her own BUNS. She found a very simple recipe and they turned out to be outstanding! Soft, great taste, and hold up to a juicy burger. If you decide to make them make eight not twelve that the recipe calls for to get them big enough for a good sized burger. Also they would make excellent bread sticks. Just a couple of pictures of a simple cook.

I also made some spaghetti sauce for later in the week and the ladies know when they smell that sauce cooking a treat awaits them. So they were hanging out in the kitchen in anticipation of the goodies. Bet you can guess what it was.

Wow. Those buns look fantastic. That just takes a good cheeseburger to a whole new level. And the tater wedges just seal the deal.
The dogs are too funny. Like little kids being good so they can get a treat.
 
your wifes buns look great to me. as you say "burger that is"... and your burgers look like a great cook. guard dawgs look happy too, and mean. heheh.

she said "It doesn't look like they miss many treats or food."
I told her, they aren't fat, just fluffy!

Gotta go with your wife on that one Bob, they are big. Those two are the 5th and 6th Golden’s we’ve owned and they are by far the largest. They are a mother and daughter team, Holly the one on the left is the daughter and weighs in at about 115 and Raddy the Mom is a little lighter at 99. Shady who was Holly’s Dad was the largest Golden I’ve ever seen. He could put his front paws on my shoulder and look me straight in the eyes and I’m 6’1”, he weighed 140 and not an ounce of fat on him.
